River road residence - minneapolis, mn

This collaborative project involved the transformation of a 1930’s Dutch Colonial home along East River Road into a timeless, Scandinavian-inspired retreat. We expanded the kitchen, and added an extension with eat-in nook, hearth space, mud room, powder bath, and screen porch. Our challenge was to seamlessly blend a more contemporary design with the surrounding traditional homes that make up the river road experience. The result is a functional and serene indoor / outdoor living arrangement in a timeless exterior.
